I Will Knit a Sock

Filed under: Knitting — folkcat at 12:16 pm on Monday, July 31, 2006

Today’s going to be a slow-going day for Jen. My coughing took a bad turn Sunday night, and I’m exhausted today. I suspect a larger-than-average exposure to outdoor air, pollen, and heat on Saturday, which created more crud in my air passages and sinuses than normal.

I’ll be okay, it’s just a matter now of symptom control and rest. So I’m going to keep it low-key today, get caught up on some shows in the Tivo, and try not to craft anything that requires dragging out an extra table or the sewing machine.

In fact, I think it’s the perfect day to sit and try to make the second sock of my Barefoot Diva Socks that have been in progress since, oh, February or so. Socks are a good, lightweight project, and the pattern is a simple 2×2 rib, so I won’t strain anything to knit this, even my brain.

Sorry you are feeling yukky! It might be a good time for all of us to stay inside and work on simple projects for the next couple days. They are telling us 100 degrees here…damn…I moved to New Hampshire not Florida! 🙂 Feel better…
