Rainy Monday

And the mood here matches.

I am very unhappy with Blogger right now. The problem I had posting on Friday turns out to be something broken with their Atom API. I don't really know what that is (nor do I care) beyond the fact that it is apparently essential for anyone who is trying to post using a means other than Blogger's own online interface.

The Blogger Techies very helpfully point out to us that until it's fixed, we can publish posts using said interface. But my point is, we turned to other means of creating and publishing because we were dissatisfied with that interface for one reason or another.

In my case, it's the picture uploading process. It is not drag-and-drop (you have to browse through your endless catalogs of photos to find the one you want to upload), there are limited means of adjusting the size, quality, and other properties of the pictures, and as recent evidence has shown, their photo upload interface also breaks fairly frequently, causing failures and frustration.

I was going to post my "G is for..." ABC-along today, but I can't upload pictures. (Well, I suppose I could, but I've tried to work with that upload process at Blogger before. See the above paragraph.) So you'll have to wait until later this week (I hope) for G is for Gryphon. Sucks that I can't post it today, though, which is actually his birthday.

Happy Birthday, love. You know what I think of you, even if I can't show it to the world properly right now.

Keep your fingers crossed for me that Blogger gets its act together and fixes the API soon.
